FAQ

Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: Precision MD Health Optimization is a fee-for-service practice and, therefore, does not accept medical insurance. Many patients choose to use their flex plan or HSA account to pay for our services. We are happy to provide you with a properly coded ICD-10 visit worksheet and itemized bill that you can file with your insurance after your visit. We cannot see clients who are Tricare, Medicare or Medicaid beneficiaries. Payment in full is expected at the time of service.

Q: Can Dr. Heath be my primary care physician?

A: Although Dr. Heath is trained and board-certified in family medicine, her current practice structure does not allow for her to be available for the level of acuity necessary for a primary care practice. All patients should have their own primary care doctor.  Dr. Heath is happy to collaborate with your PCP and provide her expertise in management on any specific aspect of your health.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of appointments. For anything less, full fees will apply.

Q: Am I required to be seen in person?

A: Appointments can be done in person or via telemedicine.  We recommend connecting at least annually to make the most out of your doctor-patient relationship.
